The name Kuko was a nickname born from highschool adventures in online forums. It never really had a solid meaning for me, aside from sounding nice, until recently. I find myself frequently revisiting old memories of a peculiar time in my life, of making new friends, learning new things, and building an identity for myself based around my core interests, adapting my fashion to reflect every change I underwent. When I started Kuko Creations, it was out of a sense of nostalgia, of rediscovering who I was and how I've grown into the person I am now. I want my customers to have the same opportunities to get creative with their identities as they grow and evolve. I want my products to evoke a similar sense of nostalgia when people see them.

Kuko Creations, in its current incarnation, is comprised of the mother-daughter team, myself, Ashley, and my mother, Shirley.

Making things has always been fun. It's a playful activity. I want to convey this playfulness through my creations. Life should be about having fun and building happy memories.

My brand gently rouses the sense of nostalgia, awakening long buried dreams of fairytales and a child-like curiousity, a sort of alternate retro futurism, combining iridescence with holographic. Machine wrestles with nature, metal cogs grinding against the vines of playful ornamental filigree swirls, coiling around the gears like smoke escaping a lit stick of insense. It bridges the gap between childhood memories and contemporary daydreams.
